Creativity and business performance go hand in hand. Those that can think ‘outside the envelope’; see a single issue from multiple standpoints; and communicate their ideas clearly and effectively, are the people who will succeed most with the least effort.

High Performance Training has now unveiled an executive training course that combines the rigours of business life with the lateral thinking, expressiveness, and insight traditionally associated with creative writing.

Imagination: Inspiration: Innovation: Creative Writing for Business enables business people and administrators to free up their creative potential, so as to communicate more productively and gain the confidence to generate and follow up on innovative ideas.

The course is designed and presented by Geraldine Finn, who has extensive experience as a trainer in Creative Writing in the USA and Ireland. She believes that much business writing fails to achieve its desired aim because it is dull, formulaic, and fearful of breaking new ground. All too often, the writer undersells their true potential and the reader finds little to engage or challenge their intellect.

To overcome these deficits, the course provides a wealth of writing skills and techniques, including: Clustering, Mapping, and Charting; using the right and left sides of the brain; writing on a single subject from more than one point of view; and awareness of the reader’s needs and perspectives when drafting a document.
